Our Client and the Role:

Founded in 1957, our client has over 50 years of experience developing and operating customized supply chain and associated service solutions in demanding environments.



Supported by a world-wide network of resources including state – of – the – art warehousing facilities, bulk fuel installations and real time freight tracking capabilities, our client provides workable resolutions to complex client requirements in the areas of food logistics, catering, retail, aviation, transport and warehousing, camp services and fuel management.

Our Client is the Aviation Division of this rapidly expanding group and provides vital services in supply air logistics to remote sites in post conflict locations and remote areas.

They ensure essential items such as fresh food and other time critical cargo is delivered with minimal disruption, under the most challenging conditions.

They are currently seeking an Aviation Warehouse Manager to be based at Dubai, UAE, to manage and coordinate the preparation for onward movement of all inbound aviation cargo transiting through our clients warehouse facilities located within the U.A.E.

Reporting into the Aviation Inbound Operations Manager, the successful candidate will manage the warehousing and preparation for onward movement of approximately 1,000 metric tons of aviation cargo per week.

You will manage a team of two to three personnel in round the clock operations and will manage the building of all aircraft loads.

You will record, monitor and track all aviation cargo transiting through the warehousing facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

You will develop, institute and monitor operational reporting procedures and will work with the Assistant Operations Controller and Inbound Operations Manager to ensure continuous, round the clock warehousing operations.

You will liaise with cargo suppliers and recipients to ensure accurate cargo deliveries and will liaises with our clients business units to report inventory status, estimated delivery dates, etc.

You will aggressively track and monitor warehouse inventory and will react rapidly to shifting priorities while maintaining control over critical requirements.

You will ensure compliance with ICAO, US Military, NATO, UN and host nation CAA
Directives, manage aircraft loading personnel and will manage all employee issues, and when necessary liaise with the Human Resources Department.

Finally you will ensure accurate and timely transmission of Flight Advisories and other
associated aircraft movement messages.




Knowledge and Skills:

You will be an accomplished Aviation warehouse professional with extensive aviation warehouse experience.

You will have extensive knowledge of aircraft loading and load-building, to include dangerous goods handling for air transport.

You will have previous experience with cargo tracking and monitoring and have experience with invoicing and the development of financial controls, i.e., cost
savings and cost comparisons.

You will have the ability to manage and integrate horizontally with our clients business units and have the ability to make sound command decisions based on operational and financial considerations.

You will have the ability to delegate, coach and guide subordinates towards successful outcomes.

You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally one other language and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.

Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.

You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.

Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate.

This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished aviation warehouse professional looking for something different.

The basic salary is paid in AED (Dirhams) and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition there is an annual profit share payable after 12 month’s service which is also paid in AED (Dirhams) and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. You will receive 25 days holiday plus public holidays and medical / health insurance is provided.

In addition Ex-Patriate employees will receive 1 paid return economy flight per year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by our client.
