| HSE Training Superintendent The Client From its beginnings in 1952, my client has become the largest engineering and construction company in the Middle East. The client has always been at the forefront of the adoption of new construction technology to improve efficiency, provide more rapid execution while ensuring high quality performance. The Requirements of the role • Responsible for managing the HSE&S training team on the project. • Assist in the development, preparation & implementation of the Training and induction plans and procedures in line with the HSE&S Management System, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001. • Ensure the review of scope of work completed, from the HSE Training perspective, to identify trends & possible exposure to discrepancies & Lessons Learned. • Assist in the preparation & presentation of HSE&S Seminars & presentation to client as necessary. • Interface with Client counterparts on project issues as necessary. • Interface with the HSE staff on the project to facilitate communication & management processes. • Develop, implement & administer HSE&S training & development programs, including the CCC HSE&S Curriculum, for the motivation of personnel & ensure that competent staff are assigned for functional activities. This program should be in compliance with the CCC HSE management System, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001. • Arrange for / Conduct refresher courses as necessary. Role PURPOSE • The purpose of this role is to Develop & implement the Project specific Training plans & procedures. Responsible to coordinate, prepare, & develop HSE&S Training programs, lesson plans, training matrices, flow charts, procedures training material, & seminars for the project as per the HSE requirements, under the guidance of the Group HSE&S Manager for projects. • Reports to the HSE&S Manager / Deputy HSE&S Manager on the project. Skills, Knowledge Qualifications & Experience • B. Sc. in related HSE Field (Env Sciences, Env Engineering, Occupational Studies, Loss Prevention and control, Safety Management…) or B.Sc. Engineering from an Internationally recognized University with minimum of 10 years experience of which 6 in the HSE Field and at least 4 years of Construction site experience in International Construction Companies • OR high school degree with a minimum of 18 Years of HSE and Construction experience with internationally recognized companies • Certification with Internationally recognized bodies (Preferred) • In depth knowledge of HSE International Codes & Standards e.g. CFR, OSHA, NFPA, British Safety Standard • Proven Broad based managerial skills • Developed Knowledge of construction project disciplines • Developed technical knowledge & understanding of execution methodology • High level of commercial, contractual & cost & experience • Experience in preparation, development & implementation of HSE&S Management System & procedures in line with ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001. • Excellent command of spoken and written English. • High level of computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets & presentations) • High level of communication & influencing skills • high level of coordination skills • Excellent presentation skills Advanced training skills in preparation, development & delivery of training programs | |
