VAM SYSTEMS is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Australia, USA, Singapore & India.
VAM SYSTEMS currently looking for Assistant Manager-Business Support for one of our clients which is a leading Financial Institution in UAE with the following skill set and terms and conditions.
Skill Set required:
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
To supervise the IT support and development function of the MIS team. This section will provide value-addition to the services offered by MIS, including automation and report design.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To manage a team of 4-5staff, coordinating and delegating the work amongst his/her staff;
2. To manage the technical platform supporting the Division i.e. the systems tools currently being used within the division and the applications being developed and tested.;
3. To coordinate with the Business Process Manager to ensure that the business analysis and technical standards are set and all processes relating to MIS are documented;
4. To help develop and maintain standards for testing, in addition, ensure the preparation of appropriate end-user and technical documentation;
5. To evaluate system performance
6. To direct the maintenance and modification of existing systems to suit business and management reporting requirements. This includes the analysis of existing systems for enhancements and support in the development of new reports
7. To participate in the system evaluation and selection process when required and be involved in other projects
8. To conduct technical studies to identify and recommend new systems to meet current and future needs
9. To be the teams core project management resource

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES.
1. Good communication skills, and ability to create clear requirements definitions
Should be proficient in English.
2. Strong IT skills with working knowledge in using/programming databases, performance & attribution software and report writing tools;
Including experience in programming of Sequel server, related tools and report writing tools
3. Knowledge and experience in data management and business intelligence applications is a must have;
4. Experience in preparing user documentation and involvement in detailed system testing is essential;
5. Knowledge of global investment markets and instruments including Equities, Bonds, Derivatives and Overlay structures;
Knowledge of Global Investment Performance presentation standards (GIPS) would be advantageous.
6. Project management experience in a financial services environment is preferred;
7/8. Experience with various investment performance software, would be a nice to have;
Experience in system selection / RFP process.
ORGANIZATIONAL POSITIONING
1. Name and title of person to which this position shall report MIS Controller
2. Titles of positions and names of incumbents that shall report to this position. Analysts
3. List other functions and or positions that this position shall interface with as a regular business requirement.
Investment Depts, Evaluation&Follow-up Dept, Internal Audit Department, IT Department.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• This job have supervisory responsibilities.
Supervise in both their work assignments and performance development (appraisal).
Supervise/manage/direct the selection, training, development, appraisal and work assignments of personnel.

• Support Services (Sub-Section of MIS)
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
2. Perform other duties as assigned.
3. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

PMP / Prince2 Certified (Project Management Qualifications)
Experience Required : Minimum 5 years
Terms and conditions:
Joining time frame : 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)
