| Legal Advisor Dubai or South Africa Fabulous global role for a qualified Legal professional to join Cummins (global power leader) as Legal Counsel / Advisor - Middle East and Africa. You will provide professional legal advice to Cummins’ manufacturing operations in South Africa and to its distribution operations throughout Africa and the Middle East. As Legal Advisor, you will receive an attractive compensation package that includes a base salary, annual bonus, healthcare and access to various other plans and benefits within this publicly-traded company. Based in Cummins’ Dubai or Johannesburg office after an initial 12 month familiarisation period in the UK (Heathrow area). This is a new position, reporting to Cummins’ EMEA Legal Director and carrying a wide range of responsibilities in the areas of corporate transactions, commercial contracting, litigation management and business and employment counseling. You’ve previous post qualification experience of corporate transactional work including familiarity with the drafting and negotiating of acquisition agreements, vendor and customer agreements, and other commercial agreements. Candidates must be commercially aware business advisers and must possess the ability to anticipate and manage legal risks. Essential Skills: - Law degree from an accredited law school or a Professional legal qualification Previous legal experience, either in-house or in a law firm Strong transactional background, with experience negotiating and drafting corporate and commercial agreements, together with experience of litigation and employment related matters. International experience and the ability to speak a foreign language is a plus. Enthusiasm for working for a global company and everything that it entails: extensive international travel as necessary, working across multiple cultures, willingness to accommodate different international time zones, etc. | |
