Director Patient Financial Services & Admitting & Registration

Provides leadership for the Revenue Cycle of the entire hospital and PHCs

• Experience in Patient Financial Services and Revenue Cycle Management
• Oversee and Manages the Accounts Receivable and Billing Process
• Responsible for maximizing cash collections while minimizing adjustments and bad debt write offs
• Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient billing experience required
• Pre-registration and Insurance Verification
• Billing and Insurance follow-up
• Self-Pay collections
• Denial Management
• Policy and Procedure Development and Implementation
• Provides procedural direction/training to direct reports and hospital and clinic staff as required
• Interviews, hires, coaches, counsels, trains and performs performance evaluations to PFS Department and Admissions staff
• Assists in development of department’s budget and operation thereof
• Ability to meet multiple demands and meet deadlines
• Ensure discharge summaries are completed by nursing

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Health Information Management or related field
• Advanced Degree preferred
• 10 years experience in senior management and supervision role in a medical center health care environment, including extensive knowledge and experience in billing, collections, electronic billing systems and customer service required
• Strong client relation skills
• Computer knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Excellent Verbal and Written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to interpret reports and documentation
• Authoritative leader
• Knowledge of medical terminology, time management and strong leadership skills a must.
