| AIX ADMINISTRATOR Our Client, A leading national brand established to market and distribute petroleum products and supply a wide range of allied products and services is looking to recruit a AIX Administrator for their Dubai based operations. Responsibilties may include but not be limited to: Responsible for the administration of all AIX/Linux servers in the corporation. Involved in the installation, maintenance, configuration and daily support of AIX systems. Monitor AIX systems for performance and will plan, document and troubleshoot problems. Develop and plan for process improvements to the AIX server infrastructure. Create and maintain documentation of systems, operational procedures, topology and hardware / software inventory within the AIX infrastructure. Maintain and coordinate servicing of all servers and peripherals. Provide 1st and 2nd level support to Service Desk and other staff; implement and validate new AIX systems and associated hardware and software upgrades. Assess and advise the Systems Manager on the near and long term capacity of the AIX systems. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years experience performing administration of AIX servers with atleast 2 years experience with AIX 5L and higher. The candidate should have experience in pSeries. The candidate should have knowledge of relevant commonly-used concepts, best practices and procedures in maintaining the UNIX / AIX environment. Should also have a working knowledge of SAN and Tivoli / TSM. The candidate should have atleast two years experience in HACMP (High Availability Cluster Multi-Processing). The candidate should possess a working knowledge of network protocols and awareness of basic network security principles and practices. The candidate should be a self-starter, self-motivated, proactive, team player and well spoken. The candidate should be fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic will be an added advantage. | |
