To manage profitably the unit production activities in order to meet the Customer requirements in terms of quality, timely delivery and service level.
• Fully comply with and exercise diligence in observing all QHSE standards specified by Executive management and JAFZA rules and regulations; direct, maintain and enforce the safety programme for all plant equipment and personnel; review safety records to ensure upholding standards of maximum safety for all plant employees
• Profitably manage this factory resources to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Ensure only authorized personnel to be within the vicinity of machines and all machines are operated under strict QHSE guidelines
• Daily manage the Plant to develop, implement and improve compliance with policies, procedures and guidelines to achieve the Company objectives
• Prepare annual operation budget and accountable for operation of Plant within the budget
• Coordinate Plant activities through planning with other departments to ensure total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner
• Responsible for production planning, scheduling and managing the production processes ensuring high quality production at all production stages
• Develop, implement and improve processes to optimize machine loading and cutting parameters; initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating cost
• Accountabale within manufacturing for all processes within the QMS
• Ensure that the delivered material complies with Company specifications
• Report compliance to production schedules and meeting of delivery deadlines; ensure full customer satisfaction at all times
• Accountable for setting annual improvement objectives & KPI’s for the manufacturing department
• Ensure that all manufacturing staff are competent and individual training & development needs are assessed
• Manage the Plant’s P&L and cash flows and ensure compliance with the guidelines set by the Executive management
• Ensure Plant facilities and equipment are maintained to required standards and that adequate spare parts are identified and available
• Facilitate communication among all involved Departments; review reports on production and participate in maintenance meetings to determine and plan required projects, status of ongoing projects and scheduling of future projects
• Present monthly reports to Business Unit Manager on the Plant activities
• Manage all Plant HR matters including; annual alignment of job descriptions with current and planned needs of all staff; selection and development of staff; appraisal and training; succession planning in line with the resources set out in the department manpower plan
• Deputize for the Business Unit Manager in matters of production in his absence
• Carry out internal QHSE audits as required.
• Develop a strong team and plan for succession
