| Executive Compensation and Performance Manager Manager – Executive Compensation and Performance Abu Dhabi A premier bank £36,000-£40,000 tax free + significant bonus + share options + full benefits package Our client is one of the foremost banks in the UAE. Established almost 50 years ago, the bank has an unrivalled reputation and significant leverage throughout the country. The bank has been under going a major change programme, in order to help it continue profit growth in the increasingly competitive UAE banking market. Within the HR group there is now a need to make a significant appointment as Manager – Executive Compensation and Performance. This new role has been created to advise and guide the bank and its executive team on the most effective ways in which the total compensation of its executives can be managed. This will include cash and non-cash elements of reward, the use of stock and retention strategies. The bank aims to position its reward at the market upper quartile and it will be the jobholder’s responsibility to ensure this happens. Performance and reward are inextricably linked and it is essential that the jobholder understands the importance of robust and transparent performance management, that is closely aligned with reward, resource planning, succession and career management at all levels across the bank. The jobholder will operate a high degree of autonomy with the delegated authority of the Head of Compensation and Benefits. The post holder will be seen as the Group’s own point of reference in all matters relating to executive compensation and performance management. Communications and customer service skills are vitally important and the jobholder must be able to communicate complex information clearly and concisely and will also be able to demonstrate empathy with customers and establish a rapport in a manner that gives customers confidence that their needs will be met. The bank can offer an exciting role in an organisation that holds a dominant position as one of the premier banks in the country. Ideally with a minimum of 5 years experience in a reward/compensation role with a broader involvement in HR, you will also have practical experience and knowledge of performance management. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of having developed stock option and stock grant programmes as part of executive compensation, experience of banking or financial services would be desirable. Of overriding importance is the maturity and personality which will enable you to quickly establish the confidence within the HR Group and senior management within the bank, particularly the investment banking business.
