| (EDD) Environmental Data Architect • Introduce, apply, disseminate and transfer best practices in ecoinformatics methods, tools and standards • Provide expertise in and clearly articulate best practices in environmental data modeling and design requirements • Work with the technical team to assess and standardize current and future data holdings by implementing developed data models • Work with the stakeholder community to define and promote data standards and standard operating procedures • Effectively coordinate with the IT, Analytical and Data Sharing Program departments to ensure the collective needs and requirements are met according to the objectives of the Environmental Information group • Guide the development of a standardized, spatial database • Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred) in computer science, geography, environmental sciences, conservation, land-use planning or related field • Ability to relocate to Abu Dhabi, UAE Experience: • 7+ years of environmental data architecture experience • 7+ years of environmental data modeling experience • Experience with data governance and standards • Experience with data sharing methodologies and technologies • Strong experience with spatial database development • Previous experience in the Middle East (desired) Skills: • Fluent and literate in Arabic ( desired ) and excellent English language skills (spoken and written) • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) • Strong project management experience • Strong leadership personality • Strong background with GIS, spatial data and analytical methods • Knowledge of ArcGIS suite of tools • Knowledge of ETL concepts • Knowledge of SQL, Geodatabase and other relational databases | |
